Tribe Behaviour Policy
Conduct and Anti-Social Behaviour
Unreasonable behaviour and disobedience that is the cause of disruption and upset to Tribe programmes as a whole will not be tolerated.
It is not acceptable that the enjoyment of other participants or members of staff on Tribe programmes will be ruined by the behaviour of an individual. Tribe staff have the discretion to exclude a child from any activity.
We expect participants to engage fully in all activities.
Participants are not to engage in any anti-social behaviour including: stealing, bullying (including via social media), vandalism, disruptive non-participation, or anything deemed to be irresponsible.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner. If in our opinion, or in the opinion of any of our local suppliers, the participants behaviour or that of any member of the party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any of our other programme participants, or any third party or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion to transportation, we reserve the right to terminate their place on the programme immediately
Participants agree to comply with all relevant laws, regulations and customs of the countries visited during the programme. One must at all times respect and follow local laws, customs, and culture of the host country and behave in a responsible and courteous manner. In the event of a contravention of these laws or customs, we or our local supplier shall have the right to require you to leave the programme.

Disciplinary procedure
We will discuss with participants, any behaviour which doesn’t adhere to the accepted standard.
If necessary, the following procedure will be taken as part of our three strike rule:
A Madrich (leader) will discuss how/why the behaviour is unacceptable and ask the participant to make an effort to modify their behaviour
If unacceptable behaviour continues, the Rosh (head) of camp will again talk to the participant and if necessary, a member of the senior Tribe team will contact the parent/guardian by email (Strike 1).
Should further incidents happen, the participant’s parent will be contacted and the participant will be informed that has happened (Strike 2). The participant will also be asked once again to modify their behaviour.
If it is decided that the participant will be sent home due to behavioural issues, no refund will be given and the parent/guardian will be contacted and asked to make arrangements to collect the participant without delay at their own cost. (Strike 3)
In severe cases, it may be necessary to instantly dismiss a participant from Tribe programmes, before implementing the other steps. In this case, the parents will be called by a senior member of the Tribe team to arrange for the participant to be collected without delay.
In the case that a participant is dismissed for behavioural reasons, it may affect the participant’s chances of being accepted onto future Tribe programmes.
Please note that if an issue arises due to a condition not disclosed on the medical form, Tribe has the right to exclude the participant due to a breach of the Terms and Conditions agreed upon when submitting Tribe programme applications.
PLEASE NOTE: TRIBE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRANSPORT ANY CHILDREN TO OR FROM TRIBE PROGRAMMES FOR ANY REASON DURING PROGRAMMES.
Madrichim - Leaders
Participants are expected to listen to their Madrichim, follow their instructions and treat them with respect.

Damage to Property
Any participant, who wilfully damages any property including that of Tribe, fellow participants, leaders or staff members, will incur a full charge for the cost of that damage.
Should the individual not be traced, the costs may be incurred by a group of individuals.
Religious Observance
Tribe is part of the United Synagogue and follows an orthodox Jewish ethos. We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcome and included. We ask that our participants are respectful of our ethos, wherever possible.
It is at the discretion of Tribe leaders to respectfully ask a child to change his/her clothes.
