What is Tribe?
Tribe is the Young United Synagogue. At Tribe we believe that young Jews should be proud of being Jewish and enjoy vibrant orthodoxy in contemporary British society. We run a variety of programmes and activities across our US shuls and schools to inspire and enrich Tribe members’ lives. These include: Half term trips, Learn 2 Lead programmes for our teens, Campus Tours and Tribe Community Membership.
Who are the Tribe team running the Summer Camps?
Each camp will consist of the following team:
Host and Hostess - A married couple who are responsible for religious inspiration, educational content and to care for the welfare of the children.
Camp Head and Deputy - To manage the day to day running of the camp.
Qualified Medic – A qualified first aider to deal with any medical issues and ensure those participants who have to take regular medication do so.
Technical Team –They work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth logistical running of the camp.
Tribe Leaders – They are the undoubted stars of camp, running the programmes and making sure everyone is having a great time.
Chefs There to make sure your children eat a well balanced healthy meal 3 times a day.
All Tribe staff are experienced and are DBS checked. Our leaders have been carefully selected and have attended pre-camp training to ensure they will provide the best experience for Tribe camp participants. At each camp there will always be at least one senior member of the Tribe team.
How do I book a place for my child?
Go to www.tribeuk.com and follow the links to Tribe Summer Camps. There is the option to pay in one go or in installments which will take an initial £150 to secure a place and then monthly payments with the remaining balance to be paid by the end of June 2019. What is the food like on Tribe Camp?
All Tribe camps are catered by a professional company. We provide three kosher, nutritious, balanced meals each day along with fruit snacks that are available throughout the day.
Is there security at Tribe Camp?
Tribe take security very seriously and the CST have been consulted regarding security for each camp site. We also take guards with us on every camp.
Are there bursaries available?
There is a limited US Chesed Bursary Fund available for those in need of financial assistance. Bursary forms are available only on request by emailing email@example.com. All bursary requests will be handled in strict confidence.
